Cadiz
Cadiz
The buildings are white
with pastel accents,
nothing taller than four stories
in the old quarter.
Narrow cobblestone streets
barely eight feet wide.
The days are blinding with sun.
It remains daytime
until suddenly it doesn’t.
From the rooftop
the marble domes of Cádiz Cathedral
rise above the city,
and the bells ring out
across the evening air.
